Glorious GMMK Pro OS Switch
Switch to Mac Mode: Fn + Caps Lock + M — Switch the keyboard to Mac layout mode. Win key becomes Cmd, Alt becomes Option. Modifier order changes to Ctrl-Option-Cmd. Can also be configured via QMK/VIA layers.
Switch to Windows Mode: Fn + Caps Lock + W — Switch the keyboard to Windows layout mode (default). Standard modifier order: Ctrl-Win-Alt.
Glorious GMMK Pro Lighting
Toggle RGB: Fn + Tab — Turn all RGB lighting on or off. Controls both per-key RGB and side LED strips.
Next RGB Effect: Fn + Q — Cycle forward through available QMK RGB effects (Solid Color, Breathing, Rainbow, etc.).
Previous RGB Effect: Fn + A — Cycle backward through available QMK RGB effects.
Increase Brightness: Fn + W — Increase the RGB backlight brightness.
Decrease Brightness: Fn + S — Decrease the RGB backlight brightness.
Increase Hue: Fn + E — Shift the RGB color hue forward (change backlight color).
Decrease Hue: Fn + D — Shift the RGB color hue backward.
Increase Saturation: Fn + R — Increase the RGB color saturation.
Decrease Saturation: Fn + F — Decrease the RGB color saturation.
Increase Effect Speed: Fn + T — Speed up the current RGB animation effect.
Decrease Effect Speed: Fn + G — Slow down the current RGB animation effect.
Toggle Side LEDs: Fn + Z — Toggle the side-facing LED light strips on the left and right edges of the keyboard. These LEDs shine downward onto the desk.
Glorious GMMK Pro Fn Layer
Previous Track: Fn + F1 — Skip to previous track in media player.
Play / Pause: Fn + F2 — Toggle play/pause in media player.
Next Track: Fn + F3 — Skip to next track in media player.
Mute: Fn + F4 — Mute/unmute system audio.
Volume Down: Fn + F5 — Decrease system volume.
Volume Up: Fn + F6 — Increase system volume.
Print Screen: Fn + F7 — Capture the entire screen. On Windows, saves to clipboard; use Win+Shift+S for region capture.
Scroll Lock: Fn + F8 — Toggle Scroll Lock. Rarely used in modern systems but required by some applications.
Pause / Break: Fn + F9 — Output Pause/Break key.
Glorious GMMK Pro Knob (Encoder)
Adjust Volume: Rotate Knob — Rotate the knob to adjust system volume. Counterclockwise decreases, clockwise increases. This is the default knob function.
Mute (Knob Press): Press Knob — Press the knob to mute/unmute system audio.
Custom Knob via VIA: VIA → Knob configuration — Remap the knob's rotate and press actions in VIA. Can be set to scroll, zoom, brightness, or any other key combination. Supports per-layer knob mappings.
Glorious GMMK Pro Special
Factory Reset: Fn + Backspace (hold 3s) — Hold Fn + Backspace for 3 seconds to reset the keyboard to factory default QMK settings. Erases all VIA customizations.
Toggle N-Key Rollover: Fn + N — Toggle between 6-Key Rollover and N-Key Rollover. Some older systems require 6KRO for compatibility.
Enter DFU Mode (Firmware Flash): Physical reset button (underside) or Fn + Esc — Enter bootloader mode for flashing QMK firmware. Press the physical reset button on the underside of the PCB, or use Fn + Esc. The keyboard disconnects and appears as STM32 DFU device.
VIA / QMK Remapping: Connect USB → open VIA — Connect via USB and open VIA (usevia.app) or use QMK firmware for full key remapping. VIA supports real-time key remapping across 4 layers without reflashing. GMMK Pro uses QMK firmware with VIA support enabled by default.
Glorious CORE Software: Connect USB → open CORE — Alternative to VIA: use Glorious CORE software for key remapping, RGB customization, and macro recording. CORE provides a more user-friendly interface than VIA but has fewer advanced features.
